La triada, Gobierno de Andorra, UIFAND y PwC, persisten en su escalada de fraude al utilizar los altos intereses que genera el dinero de los fondos bloqueados a los clientes de la extinta Banca Privada d’Andorra (BPA), hoy administrados por Vall Banc, para poder pagar las millonarias facturas que continúa generando este escandaloso caso que inició con la fracasada auditoría de la firmaPricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), por la cual ha cobrado hasta el momento cerca de 100 millones de dólarespor la intervención de la entidad bancaria.

Quizá sea por este tipo de lucro que las ganancias de la desacreditada firma PwC por servicios de auditoría, impuestos y consultoría, crecen 7 por ciento cada año, pues tan solo en el 2017 significó ingresos brutos totales por 37,7 billones de dólares, mientras que, en el rubro de auditoría, sus operaciones crecieron 6 por ciento, que le redituaron 16 billones de dólares, de acuerdo a un informe de Bob Moritz, presidente Global de PwC.

Mientras estas transacciones también le han permitido a PwC concretar 19 adquisiciones alrededor del mundo tan solo el año pasado,parece que la única forma de pagar por los errores del gobierno de Antoni Marti, es retener el mayor tiempo posible con alegatos falsos, las cuentas de cientos de clientes que mantienen saldos multimillonarios y que generan intereses suficientes para hacer frente a la “danza de los millones” que se reparte la triada.

Sin importarle crear una mala reputación y destruir la confianza de sus clientes, ya que es una empresa que no está comprometida con la transparencia, como ha quedado demostrado en los últimos resultados de sus revisiones de calidad de auditoría interna, PwC y sus secuaces son acusados de prevaricación, apropiación indebida e infidelidad en la custodia de documentos, por lo cual se les reclaman daños y perjuicios.

Más de tres años después de que se les bloquearan sus cuentas -en un intento por evitar la fuga masiva de capitales-, los clientes afectados y que nunca cometieron ningún tipo de delito, siguen siendo sometidos a una desproporcionada e injustificada investigación. Ciudadanos de todas partes del mundo y con cuentas de todo signo, continúan con su lucha ante los tribunales de la Batllia, por el hecho de que a algunos se les investigara de forma casi abusiva y a otros se les haya declarado aptos sin necesidad de revisión, lo que supone una clara discriminación y arbitrariedad.

Los accionistas mayoritarios de BPA, los hermanos Cierco, advirtieron que el trabajo de auditoría de PwC representó un coste de “millones de euros” y que durante el proceso de análisis se fueron cambiando criterios y se aumentó el nivel de búsqueda, generando confusión, aunado a la gran incompetencia burocrática, falta de transparencia y encubrimiento de las autoridades financieras andorranas como la Agencia Estatal de Resolución de Entidades Bancarias (AREB), encabezada por Albert Hinojosa Besolí, y la Unidad de Inteligencia Financiera de Andorra (UIFAND), encabezada por Carles Fiñana.

Los Cierco denunciaron de igual forma ante el Grupo de Estados Contra la Corrupción (GRECO) y el Comité de Expertos en la Evaluación de Medidas contra el Blanqueamiento de Capitales y Financiación del Terrorismo (MONEYVAL) el desaseado proceso de auditoría que PwC realizó para facilitar la creación de Vall Banc y posterior migración. La denuncia tiene como epicentro el hecho de que PwC no hizo ningún tipo de revisión ni elaboró un nuevo cuestionario sobre el cliente (KYC) tras recibir el mandato del Gobierno de Andorra.

Para muestra de la irresponsabilidad y deshonestidad de PwC he aquí otro botón. El 19 de abril de 2015, la Audiencia Nacional de Madrid inició el juicio contra 61 socios y exsocios de la consultoría PricewaterhouseCoopers, acusados de fraude fiscal en contra de la empresa norteamericana IBM en 2002. Los denunciados eran Miguel Fernández de Pinedo, expresidente y administrador único de la firma; y César Rodríguez Ramos y José María Tajadura, administradores solidarios de PwC Consulting, quienes se hicieron acreedores a multas que superaron los 100 millones de euros.

Fueron 2 mil 200 clientes que no pasaron la auditoría que PwC hizo por encargo del Gobierno del Principado. De estos, cientos se quedaron colgados en el proceso de migración de activos de renta fija de BPA a Vall Banc, la entidad puente que se vendió al fondo buitre estadounidense JC Flowers. Según declararía un ex directivo del Banco Madrid tiempo después, eran 12 clientes sospechosos de 16 mil que había en BPA, lo cual no era suficiente para cerrar un banco.

Esta situación ha provocado en algunos afectados crisis dramáticas, incluso llegando hasta el suicidio, ante la desesperada situación que atraviesan, como el caso del prestigioso abogado mexicano Pedro Raymundo Salinas Arrambide, que se pegó un tiro en la cabeza en marzo de este año en la Ciudad de México, al quedar salpicado con el caso BPA por sospechas de blanqueo de capitales.

The firm has so far collected around 100 million dollars for the bank’s intervention.

It might be due to this type of profits that the earnings of the discredited firm PwC for audit, tax and consulting services grow 7 per cent every year. Only in 2017, that increase meant a total gross income of 37,7 billion dollars, whereas in the auditing field, their operations grew 6 per cent, amounting to 16 billion dollars, as reported by Bob Moritz, global PwC president.

Only last year, these transactions have allowed PwC 19 acquisitions around the world. It seems like the only way to pay for Antoni Marti’s government’s errors is to retain as long as possible, with false claims, the accounts of hundreds of clients that keep multimillionaire balances, generating enough interests to face the “dance of the millions” being distributed within the triad.

Not caring about creating a bad reputation for themselves and destroying their clients’ trust, since this is a company not committed to transparency (as proven by the last internal audit quality reviews), PwC and its followers are currently accused of prevarication, misappropriation and failure in the safeguard of documents, leading to a claim for damages.

Even after three years of having their accounts blocked -in an attempt to avoid the massive capital flight-, the affected clients who have never committed any offence, are still being targeted by a disproportionate and unjustified investigation.Citizens from all over the world with all types of accounts, continue their fight before the court of Andorra, due to the fact that some were investigated abusively and others were considered fit without further revision, which is a clear discrimination and arbitrariness.

The main BPA shareholders, the Cierco brothers, noticed that the auditing process carried out by PwC meant a cost of “millions of euros”, and that during the analysis process the criteria kept changing and the search became more and more meticulous, causing confusion, combined with the gross bureaucratic incompetence, lack of transparency and covering up of the Andorran financial authorities, such as the State Agency for Resolution of Banking Institutions (AREB), led by Albert Hinojosa Besolí and the Andorran Financial Intelligence Unit (UIFAND), led by CarlesFiñana.

The Ciercos also reported the irregular auditing process performed by PwC to facilitate the creation of Vall Banc and later migration, to the Group of States against Corruption (GRECO) and Committee of Experts on the Evaluation of Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorism Funding Measures.The claim is based on the fact that PwC did not carry out any kind of revision, neither did they create a new client survey (KYC) after receiving the order from the Andorran government.

Yet another proof of PwC’s irresponsibility and dishonesty:on April 19th 2015, the Spanish National Court in Madrid initiated the trial against the 61 partners and former partners of the consulting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers, charged with tax fraud against the American company IBM in 2002. The people accused were Miguel Fernández de Pinedo, former president and CEO of the firm, Cesar Rodríguez Ramos and José MaríaTajadura, joint managers of PwC Consulting, who received fines of over 100 million euros.

The number of clients who did not pass the audit performed by PwC on behalf of the Principality’s Government was of 2 thousand 200.Out of these, hundreds were stuck in the migration process of fixed income assets from BPA to Vall Banc, the bridge entity which was sold to the American vulture fund JC Flowers.According to declarations made by a former Bank of Madrid executive, some time after that, 12 out of 16 thousand were suspects in BPA, which was not enough to shut down a bank.

This situation has caused dramatic crisis for some of the affected, even suicide, due to the desperate situation they are going through. Such is the case of the respected Mexican lawyer Pedro Raymundo Salinas Arrambide, who shot himself in the head in March this year in México City, splattered by the BPA case with suspicions of money laundering.
